BS88 fuses

BS88 includes industrial fuses and high speed fuses according to British standard.

These fuses have different dimensions compared to other European fuses.

Our BS88 fuses are available in utilization classes:

• gG, cable, line and general protection
• gM, mainly motor protection, rated current is stated in dual values, thermal current rating and a higher value that relates to the fuse’s ability to withstand starting currents
• aR, high speed fuse, short circuit protection only

They are installed in different ways: industrial fuses are installed in either fuse holders or in fused switch disconnectors while high speed fuses are normally installed direct on busbars.
