High speed fuses

For semiconductor protection. North American high speed fuses have normally a round body and contact blades for bolt-on fixing.

The fuses are normally UL and CSA approved as Application limited OCPD, ie only approved for specific applications according to NEC, National Electrical Code. One type of high speed fuse, approved for Branch circuit protection is available, see North American fuses class J.
